Although the unit price is higher, for industrial-grade users, TPU can actually be more economical in the long run due to its comprehensive performance, reducing replacement frequency and maintenance hassles. It is particularly well-suited for environments such as factories, logistics parks, and food processing workshops.
Rubber Material: The Traditional Powerhouse for Heavy-Duty Conditions
Rubber is the most traditional and rugged option among these. It is commonly found in older models or industrial machines where durability is prioritized.
Its standout feature is exceptional elasticity and compression resistance. Even if run over by a forklift or heavy objects, it can quickly return to its original shape, almost without permanent deformation. It also performs better than PVC in terms of heat resistance.
However, this robustness comes at a cost. Rubber hoses are very heavy, making them more laborious to operate compared to plastic hoses, and they are also the most expensive of the three materials.
Consequently, rubber hoses are primarily used in extremely harsh conditions, such as mining, metallurgy, and large construction sites, where maximum resistance to physical damage is required.
